According to Wikipedia, “Fiverr is a global online marketplace offering tasks and services, beginning at a cost of $5 per job performed, from which it gets its name. The site is primarily used by freelancers who use Fiverr to offer a variety of different services, and by customers who buy those services.”
In short, you pay people $5 to do just about any small job. Its pretty neat because the services and tasks available are quite extensive. The main categories available are as follows:
- Graphics & Design
- Online Marketing
- Writing & Translation
- Video & Animation
- Music & Audio
- Programming & Tech
- And much MORE!
Fiverr: How I used Online Marketing to promote my blog
I was looking for ways to promote my blog. I considered using Google Adsense, and still may in the future. However the marketing done at Fiverr lured me in. I chose the gig listed here for $5. The title of the gig was “I will deliver keyword targeted UNLIMITED search traffic for 2 months for $5.”
This gig promoted 100% satisfaction, true organic traffic, 100% Adsense safety, no bot no fake guarantee, as well as Google Analytics Trackable. The freelancer delivers unlimited keyword search traffic for 2 months. The only thing he required to start was my website address, and 2 keywords. I told him to choose 2 keywords he thought was best after reviewing my site.
I admit I was skeptical, but I thought $5 was a small price to pay to be proven wrong. In addition he had 3,700 five star reviews from past users!
The gig was started during the middle of the day yesterday. and I totaled 85 views. I have averaged about 25 views myself before the gig started, so a definite increase. Even more exciting, the day hasn’t quite finished yet and I am up to 165 views and counting!
That’s great Brad! But are the views monetizing?
This is the exciting part. According to my Adsense, I have made $0.63 cents off views sent my way. Now, this may be a random occurrence, but if $0.63 cents were to continue every day for the next 60 days, then the total return would be $37.80. True some of that money would have come from sources outside of the Fiverr gig (as I am already earning organic Adsense revenue). However, I think it is safe to save that the $5 invested is definitely getting a nice return on the money if this keeps up!
What I’m Hoping For: Something better than Google Adsense Monetization
While getting my money back from the Gig and more, I am really hoping that I will get repeat traffic from the people that are being sent my way. In other words I hope to gain members and long-term readers. Overtime I hope to convert these long-term readers to real estate course participants (still under development) and ebook buyers.
